Ship Overview

Enjoy the blue waters of the Caribbean from the comfort of the luxurious M/Y Voyager. The new build, 68m/223ft, state-of-the-art mega yacht accommodates just 72 passengers in 36 cabins. Built in 2012 under the latest International “Safety of Life At Sea” (SOLAS 2010) regulations and classified by RINA, the Variety Voyager guarantees guests safety with incomparable comfort and elegance. The Voyager seduces her passengers with sleek lines and ample deck space. Inside, cabins and public areas are finished with warm fabrics, rich marbles, axminster carpeting and soft toned wood paneling. Everywhere you look, you’ll see unobstructed views of the ocean and ports visited. Above all, the professional service of your 32-33-person crew always assists you with a smile and a true desire to satisfy. 

All cabins include: Individually controlled air conditioning, TV with DVD player, mini-fridge, safe deposit box, deluxe toiletries, and bathrobes WiFi at a charge.

All rooms sleep two passengers. Some category B cabins may sleep up to three passengers based upon request and availability.

Owner's Suite (OS)

Owner's Suite cabin category

The owner's suite is the largest cabin of the vessel, and is located on the upper horizons deck that offers doublewindows. The owner's suite offers flexible bedding configuration as well as an extra sofa bed. The cabin is finished with marble throughout the bathroom and luxurious fabrics and furnishing, along with special amenities. Cabin size is 259 sq feet.

The category P cabins are located on the upper horizons deck and offer double windows, all finished with marble throughout the bathrooms and more luxurious fabrics and special amenities. All cabins offer flexible bedding configuration, and four of the seven include an extra sofa bed. Average cabin size is 206 sq feet.

Full height glass windows surround the indoor dining area, which can accommodate 75 passengers. Audiovisual equipment is also available.

The category A cabins are located on the main deck offering double windows, a bathroom with marble floors as well as glass and corian showers. Nine of the 11 cabins offer flexible bedding configuration. Average cabin size is 156 sq feet.

Day 1

This afternoon, arrive in Cienfuegos or Santa Clara from Miami, depending on the direction of your cruise, where you will be greeted and assisted by a member of our team. In Cienfuegos, we’ll start right away with a walking tour of the city center and the Parque Martí where we’ll view examples of the 19th century Latin American movement in modern urban planning and development.

Afterwards, we’ll board the M/Y Voyager, and have a cruise orientation and briefing before dinner on board the ship.

Day 2

After breakfast from the deck of the M/Y Voyager we’ll continue exploring Cienfuegos. Founded by French settlers, Cienfuegos boasts outstanding examples of French neo-classical architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, we’ll stop at a local farmer’s market.

After lunch, we’ll visit the Benny More School of Art before heading back aboard the M/Y Voyager. This evening, enjoy dinner while sailing to Trinidad.

Day 3

After breakfast on board, we will head into Trinidad, a well preserved Spanish colonial city and another UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll begin with a walking tour through the town and visit a scale model of the city. 

After lunch at a paladar, a private, family-owned restaurant, we'll visit the Museo Romantico located in the Palacio Cantero Museum. Next, we’ll visit the studio of Lazaro, a unique woodcarver, and enjoy more sightseeing along Trinidad's cobblestone streets. In the evening, we’ll return to the M/Y Voyager for dinner on board and overnight at sea as we sail to Manzanillo.

Day 4

After breakfast and lunch, we’ll disembark for a walking tour of the rarely visited city of Manzanillo. This off the beaten path destination is known for its spirit as well as street organists who have been entertaining residents for years. We’ll view the contrasting architecture – a mixture of wooden structures, Andalusian style homes, and intricate neo-Moorish motifs as well as engage with Manzanillo’s residents.  In the evening, we’ll return to the ship for dinner and an overnight in port.

Day 5

After breakfast we’ll drive to the city of Bayamo. Founded in 1513, the city was the capital of the First Republic in Arms during Cuba's War of Independence in the 19th century. Here we will visit the leafy square of Parque Cespedes and take a walking tour along the Bayamés Promenade. After lunch, we’ll visit the Wax Museum, Plaza de la Revolución, the Casa de Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Museum, Anthem Plaza, San Salvador Cathedral of Bayamo and the Altarpiece of the Heroes. Afterwards, we’ll visit the musical hub, Casa de la Trova, before returning to the ship for an overnight sail to Santiago de Cuba.

Day 6

After breakfast on board, we will disembark in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba’s second largest city and cultural center, well known for its colonial architecture, and narrow streets and alleyways. We’ll visit Calle Heredia and Padre Pico Street, two of the city's liveliest streets, before heading to the Museum Lucha Clandestina. 

In the afternoon, visit the Bacardi Museum which houses valuable pieces of pre-Columbian and national art and artifacts. Later, you’ll return to the ship for dinner and an overnight in port.

Day 7

After a relaxing breakfast on board the M/Y Voyager we’ll visit the Governor's Palace Museum before traveling by motor coach to the Castillo del Morro, a historical fortress with breathtaking views across the Caribbean Sea and Sierra Maestra mountains.

After lunch, we’ll continue to Santa Ifigenia Cemetery to watch the changing of the guard before entering the José Martí Mausoleum. Back aboard the M/Y Voyager, we’ll enjoy dinner and spend overnight in port.

Day 8

After a farewell breakfast on board the M/Y Voyager we will disembark and travel to the Antonio Maceo Airport in Santiago de Cuba for our return flight to the U.S.

This itinerary may be subject to change as a result of weather and other factors not in our control. Since space at the dock itself is severely limited, this itinerary might involve a combination of having to tender in to shore, as well as docking at one of only two piers. Sailing direction and activities in this itinerary should be considered a sample only. Final itineraries are sent to guests one to two weeks prior to departure. Due to the unique nature of our programming, each departure is custom designed and not every activity listed on this itinerary is always available. Please rest assured that our team in both Cuba and the U.S. take special care in planning each excursion and draws from almost two decades of experience, relationships, and activities to make each itinerary exceptional. Each tour provides a full-time schedule of educational people-to-people exchange activities and is fully compliant with U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations regarding travel to Cuba. These same regulations provide that guest participation on each tour is mandatory.

Your round-trip air on chartered air is included in your tour fee. Once registered on the cruise, your ticket is automatically confirmed. Your arrival and departure cities are dependent on your cruise date and sailing direction of the M/Y Voyager and can be seen below.


  1. Check with an insightCuba travel specialist or flight concierge team member for actual flight times.
  2. Once you are provided with flight times, book your domestic round-trip air from your home airport to Miami (not included in cruise)
  3. Determine if you need a pre or post-night in Miami.


Due to early or late flight times on your arrival or departure it may be necessary to book a pre or post-cruise night in Miami.  Flight times will vary. Please consult our flight concierge at 914-380-8303 for the most up to date flight times and information on your dates of travel.  Upon request, our flight concierge can make these reservations for you. 


Your confirmed flight itinerary and electronic ticket will be sent to you by email two weeks before departure. 


To ensure that all guests arrive to Cuba in time for the ship's departure, the ship operator requires that passengers arrive on a group charter flight to ensure smooth airport transfers and ship boarding.
