Day 2

Runner & Companion

After a healthy breakfast, insightCuba marathon, half-marathon, 10K runners, and companions will have the pleasure of participating in the MaraCuba 3k race. This race is run simultaneously in each province throughout Cuba. It's great fun as local residents and children join the crowd of runners as you make your way through Old Havana. Walkers are invited. Afterwards, everyone can take part in the post-race parade with music and dancing followed by an optional medical orientation and briefing about course conditions and how to seek medical treatment, should anyone need it during the race. Companions are welcome to tag-along, or explore Havana on their own through people-to-people activities. Our insightCuba marathon concierge team in the hotel is available to suggest activities and answer any of your questions.

This afternoon, you have the option to participate in a runner’s clinic to review equipment, weather conditions, and receive running tips from Cuban marathoners experienced in the course. Later in the day, we’ll distribute running bibs. You’ll also have time to partake in self-guided people-to-people activities and explore Havana on your own.

Tonight, dine on your own with friends or your travel companion at a paladar, a private, family-owned restaurant. Your insightCuba marathon concierge, a dining-scene expert, will make outstanding recommendations.
